We are currently seeking an experienced, passionate and creative Gardens Supervisor to join our Gardens and Estates team.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

• Using your experience, creativity, and imagination you’ll be working with our Gardens and Estate Manager to assist in redesigning selected areas of our stunning estate
• Leading a team of gardeners to ensure our floral displays are to the highest of standards and breathtaking all year round
• Building strong working relationships with your colleagues across the estate to really understand their requirements whether it be a garnish for a fine dining dish, a key cocktail ingredient or flowers ready for pressing and display in our guest areas
• Devising and producing planting plans with our Gardens and Estate Manager to ensure our presentation is always spectacular throughout the seasons
• Maintaining stock beds, planting out herbs and vegetables and expertly using cold frames
• Collaborating with your colleagues across the estate to cultivate a functioning greenhouse, a new venture for us!
• Compiling reports on the performance and condition of the areas you look after; proactively devising methods for improvement and implementing these in liaison with our Gardens and Estate Manager
• Following, at all times, Health & Safety regulations and ensuring your working areas are maintained to the highest possible standards
• Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way

The kind of person we're looking for:

• You already have an NVQ Level 3 in Horticulture or equivalent, ideally with at least five years practical experience
• Organisation and fantastic attention to detail are two of your strongest skills, you also have the confidence to share your knowledge and expertise along side supporting and supervising your team
• You’re ready to work hard and grasp the opportunities on offer as a key member of this incredible, world class Gardening team
• Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
• You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
• A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail
• You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way
